If you have a story to share about going back to school after age forty, I want to hear about it! Whether it’s your story or that of someone you know, here’s your chance to tell it.
These questions will help get you started:
- What motivated you to go back to school? Did any services or books help you decide?
- What work were you doing before that decision? What caused you to leave it?
- How old were you when you started school?
- What kind of encouragement did you get? From whom?
- Whose experiences as an older student inspired you?
- What professional services did you find valuable?
- What did you study and why did you choose it? How did you decide?
- What mental exercises helped you discover your needs and define your goals?
- How did the application process go for you? What resources–guides, books, tutors– helped you?
- What were the challenges as an older student?
- What were the triumphs?
- Who helped you manage the lifestyle change, helped you cope and offered support?
- What are you doing now?
Thanks for sharing your stories and inspiring us all!
